Teenager Airlifted to Phoenix Hospital after Motorcycle Accident

Firefighters and deputies responded to the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority Fire Station 106 after a mother of a 16-year-old teenager who suffered injuries while riding a motorcycle walked into the fire station with her injured son just before noon on Thursday.

“Deputies were dispatched to the fire station after a mother transported her 16-year-old son to the fire station for injuries he sustained while riding a bike in the desert,” said Sergeant Calbert Gillett, a spokesperson for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. “He has been airlifted to the hospital for his injuries,” Sergeant Gillett added.

An air ambulance was requested to fly shortly after the mother arrived with the injured male. Wittmann, AZ Emergency Alerts immediately sent out an alert to advise of the helicopter landing.

The severity of the teen’s injuries is life-threatening, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. This was all the information available at the time of writing.
