UPDATE: “No impairment detected,” Driver Recovering after Crashing into a Pole in Wittmann

Arizona Fire and Medical Authority and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of North 215th Avenue and West Patton Road just after 4 PM on Friday, May 28th for a motor vehicle accident. Wittmann, AZ Emergency Alerts sent an Emergency Text Alert shortly after.

UPDATE: The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Wittmann, AZ Emergency Alerts that the male driver hospitalized is no longer in life-threatening condition on Saturday afternoon. Evidence of impairment was not discovered nor detected.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the accident involved a single vehicle that had crashed into a pole. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
