House and Brush Fire near 27600 N 223rd Avenue in Wittmann, Arizona

The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to the 27600 Block of 223rd Avenue for a house fire a little after 5PM. The house fire extended into nearby brush causing a rapidly growing brush fire. Fire crews from Sun City, Peoria, Phoenix and Glendale assisted in the fire.

The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority confirms that a home and a detached garage were a total loss. Two dogs were inside the home and have not been accounted for. Four people living in the residence have been displaced and are being assisted by the Arizona Red Cross.

The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority were able to contain the fire at 4 acres. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
