Firefighters, Deputies Respond to First Alarm Fire in Wittmann
Firefighters with the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority and Maricopa County Sheriff Deputies responded to a single-wide trailer fire near North 205th Avenue and West Skinner Drive just before 10:30 on Saturday. The fire quickly became a first alarm fire, sending multiple firefighters from Sun City West and Surprise to assist with the blaze.
According to the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, the fire started from a single-wide trailer that extended into another trailer.
“The trailer was fully engulfed and there was a single occupant that was able to get out,” said Sergeant Monica Bretado with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. “It is unknown how the fire started,” Sergeant Bretado added.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
